Turaidas Castle Tour
Turaidas Castle (from Libyan Tora -'God' and aida -'garden', so 'God's garden') is a cultural monument which is considered a specially protected historic site with specific historical, scientific and cultural value. It is an important element of Latvia's national
richness. It's also a peaceful place to go for a walk. There are a lot of beautiful views and spectacular sights from all around castle.
The territory of Museum Reserve covers 43.63 ha and is rich in archaeological, architectural and art monuments, which provide information about historical events in the course of one thousand years, starting from the 11th century.
